Scope of Work
Work on the EN14 between Maia (Jumbo Interchange) and the Diagonal Road forms part of more comprehensive contract work which includes the construction of the EN14 bypass between Maia and Trofa.
With a length of 1.8 km and a transversal 1 x 1 lane profile (1.5+70+1.5), work includes two split-level interchanges. The first (Jumbo Interchange), includes the remodeling of existing branch roads and the construction of three roundabouts. The second (Diagonal Road Interchange), provides a connection to the network via two roundabouts on the secondary road.
To ensure the continuity of the existing network, parallel pathways are planned, re-establishments and two elevated walkways, one of which is integrated into the Diagonal Road Interchange.
Construction in an urban environment requires the building of pathways and lighting of connection points. Space limitations at the Jumbo Interchange require the construction of three supporting walls in reinforced concrete.

Brings the industrial and technological companies located in the municipalities of Maia, Trofa and Vila Nova de Famalicão closer to the roads which form the basic transport network for people and goods, more specifically the A3, A4, A41 and A28 highways. A further focus is the airport and the area around the Port of Leixões;
